The Power of Storytelling to Shape Our Future
Starting in 2016, The Office of Community & Equity in conjunction with faculty members, the school archivist, and students, and with support from the School's administration, embarked upon an ambitious goal to research the stories and histories of the School and the process of integration since 1968. These deeply personal stories have fostered dialogue about not only this history, but the broader history of inclusion, diversity, and equity at Episcopal. The intention of hearing these stories is to encourage critical thinking, reflection, and action within our School community in an honest and humble manner that aims to build an even stronger community for future generations.
This page aims to honor this ongoing process and offers alumni the opportunity to share their stories with the larger Episcopal High School community. We know your story will contribute to the conversations already happening on how the School can, as in the words of Head of School, Charley Stillwell, "acknowledge the past while fostering the exchange of ideas across generations to illuminate ways the School will approach and embrace its next 50 years of inclusiveness, intellectual inquiry, and moral courage."
ALUMNI STORIES
If you are interested in sharing your story, reflections on your experience at Episcopal, or your hopes for Episcopal's future, please submit it here. Stories collected may, with your permission, become part of the school's archives and be featured during the EHS50 Commemoration.
